Cornelia Ann Merrell

Mrs. Cornelia Ann Merrell, 82 years old, died at 9:15 o'clock yesterday morning in Freeman hospital, where she had been a patient six weeks. She was born in Mount Vernon and had been a resident of Joplin for 58 years. She was a member of the Methodist church, and her home was in Oakland.

Suviving are three daughters, Mrs. R.M. Evans, 2020 Porter Avenue; Mrs. Lee Kinney of Neosho and Mrs. W.R. McConnell of Baxter Springs; one son, George T. Merrell, Rankge Line and Zora avenue; 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are under the direction of the Hurlbut Undertaking Company.

Funeral services for Mrs. Cornelia Ann Merrell, 82 years old, who died at 9:15 o'clock Sunday morning in Freeman hospital, will be held at 2:30 o'clock tomorrow afternoon at the Spring Valley church, a mile east Tipton Ford. The Rev. George Kelley of Neosho will officiate. Burial will be in the churchyard.

The body will lie in state at the Hurlbut chapel until 1:45 o'clock tomorrow afternoon, when the funeral cortege will leave for the church.
