Hazel Lois Burton
Mrs. Hazel Lois Burton, 943 North College Street , 75 years old, died Tuesday night in Granby Community Hospital , following a long illness. Mrs. Burton is survived by two sons, Glenn Burton of Neosho with whom she made her home, and Ansel Searles of Indianapolis, Ind; one half-brother Claude Ball of Mulberry, Kan, and two half-sisters, Mrs. Roy Turner of Pittsburg, and Mrs. Byron Danaby, and two nieces, Mrs. Ernest McConnell of Carthage and Mrs. George McConnell of Ashland, Kan. The body was received at the Thompson Funeral Home here and funeral services will be conducted in Thompson’s chapel at 2:30 o’clock Saturday afternoon by the Rev Arnold of Granby . Burial under Thompson direction will be in Gibson Cemetery .

Hazel Lois (Ball) Searles/Burton aka "Jessie" was born April 16, 1876 in Kentucky, daughter of James William Ball and Minnie Winona Pitcher. Hazel married first James Madison Searles and married second Arthur Glen Burton.
