my Grandfather, Charles Nicholas Ward, & a Ben Walker ("Addie") penciled in as if that was a nickname for Ben? I feel the photo was taken about 1906, as that was when he married my grandmother Ella May Montgomery in Joplin, MO. Charles was Doniphan County, K 1900 & they moved back to KS about 1915. We thought the bldg where they are standing "could be" an early photo of Jolly Mills in Newton County.
